In 2006 while Ichikawa was shooting Murder of the Inugami Clan, a remake of his epic classic The Inugami Family, Iwai was shooting The Kon Ichikawa Story. Simply speaking, the documentary tells the life story of the master director from birth to present, but this being an Iwai Shunji film, the presentation differs from a conventional documentary. Using text, photographs, clips, and interviews from the movie set, Iwai weaves a revealing and arresting profile of a man who has lived through a century of changes, and helped shape the face of modern Japanese cinema. Emak, wanita usia lanjut yang sabar, tulus, dan penuh kebaikan hati, seperti umat Islam lainnya, sangat ingin menunaikan ibadah haji. Sayangnya, Emak tidak memiliki biaya untuk mewujudkan keinginannya.
Emak sehari-hari berjualan kue dan juga dari Zein, anaknya yang duda, penjual lukisan keliling.  Walaupun Emak tahu bahwa pergi haji adalah hal yang sulit diraih, Emak tidak putus asa, dia tetap mengumpulkan rupiah demi rupiah untuk disetorkan ke tabungan haji di bank. Zein, yang melihat kegigihan Emak, berusaha dengan berbagai cara untuk dapat mewujudkan keinginan Emak.
Tapi, keterbatasannya sebagai penjual lukisan keliling, serta masalah-masalah yang diwarisinya dari perkawinannya yang gagal, menyebabkan Zein hampir-hampir putus asa dan nekat.  Sementara, tetangga Emak yang kaya raya sudah beberapa kali menunaikan haji, apalagi pergi umroh. Di tempat lain ada orang berniat menunaikan haji hanya untuk kepentingan politik
Apakah ada jalan bagi Emak agar keinginannya terwujud? Apakah yang dilakukan Zein? Diwarnai berbagai drama yang saling jalin-berkelindan, film ini berkisah tentang ketulusan hati dan kerinduan kepada Tuhan, serta kecintaan luar biasa seorang anak kepada ibunya

sebuah rumah besar yang dijadikan tempat kos-kosan. Rumah kos ini sebuah bangunan lama yang sempat kosong tanpa penghuni. Pada akhirnya rumah ini dijual oleh pemiliknya karena ia selalu teringat akan kematian anak kesayangannya, Putri. Kala itu, kekasih Putri marah akibat keinginannya tidak terpenuhi. Putri sedang lemah karena ia sedang datang bulan, tapi nasib berkata lain Putri ke atas dan dikejar sang pacar, kemudian memukul Putri hingga terjatuh dan meninggal. Pacar Putri pun kena setrum dan juga meninggal.
Si pemilik baru rumah baru rumah besar ini menyewakan rumah ini dijadikan tempat kos–kosan beberapa pemuda-pemudi indekos di rumah ini. Sejak itu pemuda-pemudi yang indekos digoda oleh hantu lelaki dan hantu perempuan tidak habis–habisnya. Pemilik rumah baru itu mendatangkan orang–orang pintar untuk mengusir hantu–hantu itu, tapi gagal. Sang ayah pun berusaha mengusir arwah putri dan kekasihnya dari rumahnya.

"Extract (2009)"
